Assumption Parish Participate in the Annual March for Life in Washington DC

The following students and sponsors from Assumption Parish PSR left early Wednesday morning January 17 to participate in the Annual March for Life trip in Washington DC.

Front row: L to R: Reyna McDaris, Ryanne McDaris, Terri Berliner, Lydia Humphreys, and Lucy Hoener.

Second row: Oryan Ray, Kathy Luko, and Christopher Wilson.

Back row: Rhonda Ray, Theresa Bauer, Sharon Wilson, Randy Berliner, Laura Humphreys, and Jaime Hoener. Pictured, but not taking the trip is Rev. John H. Deken pastor of Assumption.

These students, sponsors, and many others from the parish and PSR worked very hard earning money in order to make this annual journey for life. In addition to the March for Life, the group toured monuments, Arlington Cemetery, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where they placed a wreath, toured the Capital and Library of Congress, and the Holocaust Museum. They also attended Holy Mass at the Basilica and toured the Shrine as well. After an exhausting three days of nearly steady walking they returned home Saturday evening January 20 tired, but grateful they were able to experience this once in a lifetime journey together.
