    Getting the first Moderna Vaccine.

New Haven Editor’s Account Of The Moderna Vaccine

After hearing that Franklin County would be distributing the Moderna Vaccine at the old Scenic Regional Library in Union, I was interested in getting my first vaccine. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very efficient operation, especially for a walk-in patient like myself. I filled out a one-page information sheet and proceeded directly to a room with three vaccination stations. I sat down, rolled up my sleeve and got the shot.

The nurses said plenty of people from New Haven had already gotten their shots. They asked me to wait 15 minutes before leaving, just to check for any allergic reactions, and then I was on my way. They supplied me with a few pages of information on the Moderna Vaccine. I was glad to read the possible symptoms because I had a few of them over the course of the next couple of days. Many people report only a mild pain - like being bruised at the injection spot, but I ended up having the chills, muscle aches and fatigue.

It was like having a low grade flu for a couple of days, but now I’m back to 100% and looking forward to getting my second shot at the end of April.
