Franklin County Holding At 87 COVID-19 Cases, Fifth Death Reported

Franklin County is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 this morning and the total remains at 87.

However, another death has been reported. The patient was a 93-year-old female and a resident of the Grandview Healthcare Center in Washington.

Presiding Commissioner Tim Brinker said there are now 23 recoveries.

Brinker reiterated in a press release that the county is putting together a re-entry plan that will reopen food service and personal care business on Saturday, April 25 if Gov. Mike Parson's 'Stay Home Missouri' order is not renewed.

"There will be controlled measures in place such as lesser capacities allowed, protective measures, and spacing requirements," the presiding commissioner said. "All of these measures are currently being discussed and considered by the commissioners and local health officials."

"Franklin County will continue to choose freedom over fear," Brinker said. "Our residents have responded incredibly when instructed to take preventive measures for the safety of themselves and others."
