Franklin County Reports 18 COVID-19-Related Deaths

Franklin County reported on Friday that 18 people have died due in part to COVID-19.

The health department said two weeks ago that it had been informed by the state more deaths would be forthcoming.

It raises Franklin County’s fatality total to 75.

The county also reported 109 new cases, raising its total to 4,415.

The number of hospitalizations dropped to 29.

Active long-term care cases dropped to 79.

Franklin County’s 10-day rolling total is 825 and the 14-day average is 84.

The testing positivity rate is 15.95% and 28.1% over the last seven days.
