We Are Blessed - Why Are We Blessed?

Dear Editor

We might be living in one of the best small-town communities around. While spending some time in the New Haven Care Center, it gave me the opportunity, and reminded me of all the good things right here at home.

For me personally, the local care center was second to none and a great place to be, if needed. There are also many other things that make New Haven top notch. New Haven is a first class city from top to bottom, including the administration and workers in every department. It also has a great police department, fire department and emergency services.

Our downtown area has many attractions that residents and visitors alike can enjoy. And uptown has almost everything we need in our small town. We have doctors, dentists, grocery stores, restaurants, banks, lumberyard, gas stations, and many other establishments that help make our town a great place to live.

New Haven also has activities for most every age. There’s the pool, ballfields for playing softball and baseball, the American Legion, Upwards Sports Programs, the Youth Fair and the Senior Center just to name a few.

We have an excellent school system with dedicated administration, teachers, and staff. We have a well run Lion’s Club, as well as other clubs, that try to help local people. New Haven also has many churches that make it possible to worship the Lord. I have found that if there’s a need for help locally, people will help.

I know that I’ve missed naming many of the great organizations and establishments in New Haven. I apologize for that.

We have a great small town and it’s important to strive to always keep it that way and work to even make it better.
