National FFA Organization Names Emmett And Colter Scheible 2019 New Century Farmers

This summer, 36 FFA members from across the country were selected to attend a week-long trip to the 2019 New Century Farmer conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. This exclusive, highly competitive program develops young men and women committed to pursuing a career in production agriculture.

This intensive seminar took place from July 7-12 where the New Century Farmers heard from industry experts during a series of workshops and sessions. They were able to tour several farms and agricultural businesses while on the trip as well. New Century Farmers learned ways to overcome common challenges faced by farmers and how they can grow personally and professionally. They also learned how to profit from value-added products, how to utilize emerging technology, and how to network with other agriculturalists.

Corteva    AgriScienceTM, Case IH, CHS Foundation, Farm Credit, Nutrien Ag Solutions, and media partner Successful Farming sponsored the 2019 New Century Farmer Conference. The program is designed to provide participants with valuable skills and knowledge applicable to their farm/ranch operations. In addition, participants build a network of colleagues to access throughout their careers.
