Kathleen Scheer Signs With Pro Basketball Team In Australia

Kathleen Scheer, New Haven High graduate and daughter of John and Sharon Scheer of New Haven, is waiting for the call that will take her back to Australia. She just signed with the Hobart Chargers to play another season for the Chargers. Head coach, Mark Nash, explained in a video interview on their Youtube channel that they “were happy to sign Kathleen” and that she would have to go through quarantine before she would start playing.

The Chargers’ first game of the season is April 17, so Kathleen would miss the first game due to quarantine procedures. Hopefully, she’ll be on her way soon. Since graduating, Kathleen has been playing professional basketball for teams in Russia, Poland, and Australia.
