2019 Miller's Landing Day - Another Successful Year In The Books

Cathy Hoemeyer, Head Chair of the Miller's Landing Day Committee, said that the festival in downtown New Haven on Saturday went great for the second year in a row, drawing in crowds as big as last year's event.

"The New Haven Area Chamber of Commerce puts this festival on to invite people to learn about the history of our town and to show outsiders the charm and sense of pride our town has," she described the event.

Both returning and new events for this year's festival had great turnouts. Hoemeyer called the keelboat brought in by the Lewis & Clark Discovery Expedition re-enactors a "show stopper." The large keelboat was on display on Main Street from the early morning until the late afternoon, and festival attendants were given the opportunity to climb in to view the inside.
