Chamber Gets Support From Missouri River Country

The chamber meeting this month was visited by Christine Zika from Missouri River Country. Missouri River Country was started by Dan Burkhardt and had made a name for itself a couple of years ago by wanting to market the region between Hermann and St. Charles on the Missouri River.

Not much had been done in terms of working with the communities the past couple of years. Ms. Zika has been hired as the new director, and told the chamber that Missouri River Country was very interested in getting all the communities back on board and having a much more aggressive operation in place. The goal is to have a more coordinated marketing effort for all the communities to have a regional influence on how the tourism industry perceives the area.

To punctuate their intentions, they made a donation to the Millers Landing Day Event. The New Haven chamber looks forward to working much more closely with Missouri River Country and will be contributing photos and videos to help in their marketing efforts.
