City Board Sets 2018 Tax Rate At 70 Cents

Parks Levy Still 18 Cents
A quarter-cent increase in the city property tax rate for 2018 was approved by the board of aldermen at a special meeting Wednesday night.
The board set the city rate for the general fund at 70 cents and the parks and recreation rate at 18 cents. The city rate last year was 69.75 cents for each $100 of assessed valuation.
