City Wide Yard Sale Under The Weather

The rain put a damper on New Haven’s annual City Wide Yard Sale this past Saturday. It was supposed to begin at 7 a.m. and, unfortunately, the rain beat them to it. Many understandably decided not to put out items in the rain, but homeowners who were able to showcase their wares in their garages and on porches or under other coverings said that business had been good for them despite the damp.

Lang-A-Tang Deli had a popup tent in front of Bushel & A Peck Antique, serving tasty pulled pork and smoked chicken sandwiches along with tacos and their famous potato salad, slaw, and baked beans. The Boy Scouts also dished out delicious BBQ in Save A Lot’s parking lot, doing their best to stay dry as they served their customers.
