Community Bids Farewell To Borgholzhausen Visitors

German Visitors, City Exchange Gifts
Members of the New Haven community bid farewell to 34 visitors from sister city Borgholzhausen, Germany at a dinner at the American Legion last Tuesday night.
The event was highlighted by the exchange of gifts between the two cities and between the German visitors and their local host families.
After remarks by Mayor George Panhorst, Burgermeister Dirk Speckmann and German-American Club presidents Menke Lothar Ropohl, the burgermeister presented a framed collage of photographs from the dedication of the Borgholzhausen Sister City monument in 2015.
