Counterfeiting Charges Pending

Charges are pending against two men for running a possible counterfeit ring from a home on Maupin Avenue.

Anthony Barton, 31, of De Soto was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Gasconade County until the investigation is complete. His accomplice has not yet been charged.

Police recovered $4,800 in counterfeit $100 bills from their residence and also found computers, tablets and flash drives they suspect may have been used in the counterfeiting operation.
