Deputies Investigate Stabbing Death South of New Haven

The stabbing death of a New Haven area man Wednesday night is under investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
David L. Haight, 34, was stabbed during an altercation with another man at a home in the 300 block of Skyline Drive off Highway YY south of New Haven, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a 911 call from the home about 8:30 p.m. EMS was also dispatched and found Haight dead upon their arrival.
The man who called 911 told deputies he had been assaulted and ultimately stabbed Haight during the altercation.
The man was taken into custody for questioning. Possible charges will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney’s office for review.
