Merchants Favor Two-Way Option

Near Front Street Presentation

Downtown merchants support a plan for two-way traffic on Front Street—if the Union Pacific Railroad allows any type of repaving project to go forward.

Drawings of two options—one-way and two-way—were presented to the Downtown New Haven Inc. (DNH) membership by Cochran Engineering Wednesday night.

Road & Bridge Design Director Tary Todd is seeking input from merchants as Cochran begins the design process for the first phase of the Downtown Improvement Project slated for 2020.
