New Covered Patio At Cedar Creek

The Cedar Creek conference center is just down the street from Astral Glass’s Gary and Judy Rice, and they were anticipating wood-fired pizzas from Cedar Creek with the new construction of a fireplace and chimney. It looked as if an Italian style wood-fired pizza oven was being installed next to the Chalet, but Cedar Creek’s manager confirmed that it was not intended for pizza, but only for warmth and ambiance. A roof connected to the fireplace and the Chalet is the new covered outdoor dining that was nearing completion last week.

Other questions about Cedar Creek were also cleared up. There will be no RV park as formerly planned. Nearby residents voiced objections, so the plans were shelved. Big Blue, the astronomical observatory, will be opening soon, and the group is seeking funds for their new digital telescope. This would allow visitors to view the skies from computer monitors and capture images on their mobile phones.
