New Haven Aquatics Complex Officially Opens To Much Fanfare

As Phil McKernan cut the ribbon at the official Grand Opening of the new New Haven Aquatic Complex, it marked the culmination of a fast track project from bond issue passage last year to demolition and reconstruction of the pool with major modifications. Peter Otten and his Public Works crew worked tirelessly throughout the year to hit the hard target opening date of July 3. They did a spectacular job accomplishing that in addition to all their other citywide responsibilities.
