New Haven Pool Opening - The Lazy River Is Ready For You

Get your flippers and your water rings ready, New Haven! The pool is having a soft opening for the July 4 holiday.

Park Board Chairman, Phil McKernon, mentioned that the pool will open this Saturday, July 3, and there will be a formal Grand Opening on July 17 with BBQ, hot dogs and attendance prizes.

The way the pool will be collecting money for upkeep and to pay its employees is via the purchase of a pool pass (20 visits for $60, which breaks down to $3 a visit) or by purchasing a single day ticket at the entrance. Daily charges will be as follows:

• 11 and under - $3

• 12 and over - $4

• 60 and over - $3.50

• Veterans - $3.50

In this way, the New Haven pool system will be similar to how the Washington Pool charges their customers.

If you wish to purchase advance punch cards, they are available at City Hall for purchase via cash or check.
