New Haven's Walking Parade

The walking parade to kick off the Balloon Glow and Race is Friday, September 24. It will be led by New Haven’s Marching Shamrocks, and could feature You!

Because the parade is going across the pedestrian bridge and not the increasingly busy HWY 100, pedestrians, wheelchairs, bicyclists, wagons and strollers are all welcome. If you’d like to create a float, it needs to be formed on a little red wagon, decorated stroller, bicycle or other small vehicle. Though even onlookers are welcomed to join the parade, as it is meant to entertain and inspire community. If you’d like to represent your business/company, feel free to wear t-shirts, hats, etc. and pass out promotional materials in the form of traditional parade novelty items. Candy, too, is always welcome at any parade!

Please contact Katie Borcherding of SEEK or Megan Lang of Lang-A-Tang Deli as soon as possible if you would like to participate!

Parade route:

Depart from NH Lumber Yard Parking Lot at 5:30 p.m.

Left on Circle Drive,

Right on Maupin,
