New Kids Playground Planned For Downtown

During this month’s Downtown New Haven Inc’s meeting, Lauren Zobrist brought up the possibility of adding a children’s playground to downtown in the location where the caboose is currently located. Zobrist will head up the committee to plan the new playground with help from fellow DNHI member, Fred Lee. Lauren is excited about parents being able to bring their kids downtown and have a place for them to play. She explained that the committee is looking into the practicalities of moving the caboose for the site of the playground. The plans will all dovetail with the city’s plans for street and infrastructure improvements happening over the coming year.
