No Cell Tower Downtown In Near Future

The lack of wireless phone service in downtown New Haven won’t be addressed by AT&T anytime soon.

The low elevation, coupled with high bluffs above the railroad tracks, prevent wireless signals from existing cell towers from reaching Front Street or the riverfront.

It’s been a problem ever since cell phones became popular in the 1990s.
