Park Manager Goes Full-Time July 1

The New Haven park manager position will go full-time July 1 under the new city budget adopted by the board of aldermen last week.

The proposal would be adopted on a one-year trial basis and be reviewed next May, the park board decided. The city board adopted it as part of the annual budget without making any changes.

Under the plan, Fleer would work full-time for the park board and be assisted in grass cutting and other chores by part-time employees hired by Public Works. In return, Fleer would assist Public Works on an as-needed basis.
