Partners In Pizza

Pizza Partners, Chris Hammann, Dana Luecke and Patrick Holliday were gladly amazed that over 350 pizzas were consumed during Olde Town Pizza’s soft and grand openings this past week. Patrick Holliday mentioned that by Saturday morning more than 100 pounds of cheese and 200 pounds of sausage had been consumed, and they were ordering more supplies to meet the demand for Saturday.

Olde Town Pizza staff were happily overwhelmed by the number of people coming in for the pizzas, the wings and the sub sandwiches. Dana Luecke mentioned that the dining room had turned over three times during the afternoon on Friday and, fortunately, they were able to accommodate all their hungry customers. They wanted to attract families, so they installed several big screen TVs and video games to get the interest of the kids.

Owner Chris Hammann said the Olde Town Pizza was a dream several years in the making, and that the quality of their pizza was honed by his competing against Patrick’s pizza-making skills to come up with a fine quality St. Louis style thin crust pizza pie. Patrick stressed that they only use fresh ingredients and their cheese is a mozzarella/provolone mix. The Willimann family helped make the short build-out time of 10 weeks possible, and Dave Luecke also is credited for all the woodwork in the dining room.

They look to increase their patronage by getting their liquor license and being able to serve Anheuser-Busch and Miller products in the next couple of weeks.
