Union Man Killed In Accident Wednesday

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Union man was killed in an accident on Highway YY in Franklin County on Wednesday.

Lance Lamkin, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11 a.m.

A New Haven man has serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.

According to the patrol, Lamkin was operating a 2013 Volkswagen Passat eastbound in the westbound lane of Highway YY.

Lamkin’s vehicle struck a 1994 Jeep Wrangler driven by Gregory Kruse, 20, New Haven.

Lamkin’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the road.

He was not wearing a seat belt.
