McKenzie Chasteen Crowned Youth Fair Queen
McKenzie Chasteen emerged from a field of 14 candidates to win the New Haven Youth Fair Queen Contest Friday night.
Alison Long was named first runner-up, Kaileigh Tyree second runner-up and Kate Weiser was chosen as Miss Congeniality. All four winners are 2017 graduates of New Haven High School.
The new queen, a member of the Missouri National Guard since last her junior year, sang “God Bless the USA” for the talent competition held earlier in the day to accompany a presentation of photographs from her Basic Training experience last summer. She also sang the National Anthem at Saturday night’s Truck and Tractor Pull.
