Eclipse Events Taking Shape in New Haven

Include Festival in Park

With the total solar eclipse less than a month away, the New Haven Chamber of Commerce is finalizing plans and ramping up efforts to promote local events tied to it.

The eclipse is expected to draw thousands of spectators to Franklin County on August 21. The eclipse will hit New Haven at 1:15 p.m. that Monday and last two minutes, 32 seconds.

The New Haven events run August 19-21 at various locations, including a SolarFest celebration at City Park from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chamber is working with the Scenic Regional Library on that event.
