Kenneth Waldo ‘Kenny’ Lionberger
Kenneth Waldo "Kenny" Lionberger, age 75, of Hermann, MO, passed away on May 25, 2018 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.
Kenny was born in Hermann, Missouri on December 18, 1942, a son of the late Waldo J. & Virginia Ruby (Ruediger) Lionberger.
He was the husband of Marlene A. (Meyer) Lionberger. They were united in marriage on August 14, 1971, at Hermann United Methodist Church.
Kenny served in the National Guard. He was a member of Hermann United Methodist Church, and the Hermann Masonic Lodge #123 A.F. & A.M., Hermann Jaycees, Hermann Lions Club, Frene Investment Club and a member of the Board of Directors of Charter One Bank, Owensville, MO.
Kenny is survived by his wife Marlene, of the home; by a son, Kenneth Waldo Lionberger, Jr. & wife Nina, of Barnhart, Missouri; by three daughters, Kelly Leger & husband Lester, of Houston, Texas; Raylene Hollrah, & husband Jayson of Hermann, Missouri; and Renee Agonis, of Houston, Texas; by a brother, Denver Lionberger & wife Diane, of Eureka, Missouri; by four grandsons, Kristopher Lionberger, of Barnhart; Ryan Bulinski, of Hermann; and Logan & Landon Leger, of Houston, Texas; by three granddaughters, Allyson Hollrah, of Hermann; and Kennedy & Kendall Agonis, of Houston; by one great grandson, Sawyer Lionberger, of Barnhart; by two brother-in-laws Kevin Meyer & wife Kathy and Stanley Meyer & wife Debbie, all of Hermann. He is preceded in death by his parents, by a sister-in-law Carol Lionberger and a son-in-law Jeffry Agonis.
Ken enjoyed his work as a successful insurance agent with American Family Insurance for 47 years. Ken was larger than life, always full of humor to make someone smile, he never met a stranger. He loved being outdoors in the garden or cutting wood, but most of all Ken loved his family, he rarely missed a sporting event and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. The Big Guy will be missed by many but his memory will be everlasting.
Visitation was held Tuesday, May 29 from 2 to 8 at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at Hermann United Methodist Church, with Rev. Beth Duckworth & Rev. John Rice officiating.
Burial were held at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann. Memorials may be given to Hermann U.M.C. or Just Call Me Ray. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
