Alternate Plan for Parking Revised

An updated rendering that slants all angled parking places in the same direction will be submitted as an alternative to the downtown plan designed by Cochran Engineering.

Shop owner Gary Rice’s plan also calls for narrower sidewalks than the initial drawings for the Downtown Improvement project slated for 2020.

Rice revised his plan, first presented at the July meeting Downtown New Haven Inc. (DNH) merchants, after spotting issues created by having angled parking pointed in both directions.
