Friends Of The Library Holding Food Drive

To support the local food pantry, the New Haven Friends of the Library are holding a Share the Love Food Drive.  Community members can drop off items inside the entrance of the Scenic Regional Library New Haven branch at 200 Douglas St. from February 1-15. The group will then deliver the donations to the Food Pantry.

Items most needed at the New Haven Food Pantry are canned meats & chicken, stew, chili, soup, cereal, oatmeal, canned fruit and pancake mix. Donations of coffee, tea and juice are also appreciated. In addition to food, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and deodorant are needed.

Donations can be dropped off during regular library hours. The library is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Every Tuesday and Thursday the library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
