New Haven Lions Club To Host Benefit Dinner
The New Haven Lions Club will host their annula pancake supper at the St. Peters UCC Dining Hall on March 5 at 4:30 p.m. The proceeds will benefit the medical expenses for Cortanie Gale and her 11-month-old son, Easton James.
Easton was born on March 21, 2018, with fetal hydrops, a condition where a fetus has abnormal amounts of fluids in two or more organs of the body.
"In this case, it was around his lungs and severe skin edema," Cortanie said. "They had originally said it was surrounding his heart too, but thankfully it was not. We were told he had less than a 1 percent chance to live, that this was usually a fatal diagnosis."
