Lizzy Lu’s Expands Into Adjoing Space

Last year, LuAnn and David Luecke purchased the adjoining space to their wreath and woodworking shop. After spending some time getting it ready, they opened it this past week and will be featuring many local artists and crafts people. They are featuring “Fairy Gardening,” which are small landscapes fashioned from repurposed music boxes to a small hollowed-out log. Each Fairy Garden is a custom design that fits the confines of the project. Small live plants bring the garden to life. Classes to construct your own Fairy Garden are also held at Lizzy Lu’s by “Sir Robin” with her motto being “Appreciate the little things in life.”

Next, there are the wonderfully scented products from Herbaria of “The Hill” district in St. Louis. Their soaps have become quite popular with locals in New Haven. Lizzy Lu’s has also brought in local ceramic artist, John Dawson, who is famous for his ceramic trees and morel mushrooms. Other very popular items are the stuffed animals made by “Martins’ Wild Hair Ranch” from the wool of their small herd of alpacas.

With the expansion, the Lueckes will be bringing in more new artists to entice tourists and locals who want custom and unique gifts for any occasion.
