Crunch Time For The Pool

In about three weeks, a hot crowd of New Haven residents can look forward to soaking in the new pool and especially the lazy river. This week, workers installed the liner in the lazy river section to help keep it water tight.

New Haven has the extra feature that Washington opted not to install, claiming that it would take too many lifeguards to cover the swimmers adequately. With the New Haven pool being a smaller overall size, that shouldn’t pose the same problem.

Public Works director Peter Otten says they will finish just in time for the July 4 holiday as planned.
