Kenneth Smith

Kenneth “Mr. Shamrock” Smith, 92, of New Haven, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri.

Kenneth was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 9, 1929, the son of the late Joseph & Hettie (McKee) Smith.

He was the widower of Mary E. (Hill) Smith.

Kenneth was well known in and around New Haven as Mr. Shamrock.  He enjoyed going to all of the New Haven High School sporting events and band activities.  He also enjoyed gardening.

Kenneth was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, New Haven.  He was an over the road truck driver.

Kenneth Smith is survived by two sons, David Smith, of Hermann, Missouri; and Mark Smith & wife Cindy, of New Haven, Missouri; a daughter, Janet Deckman & husband Richard, of Wright City, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Smith, of St. Peters, Missouri, and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sons, Kenneth and Daniel Smith.

Visitation was held Thursday, September 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services were then held Friday, October 1, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Nathan Franks officiating.

Burial will be at New Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be given to New Haven Band Boosters or Memorial Baptist Church. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
