Baseball Finishes Season In District Quarterfinals

The Shamrocks (2-15) capped off their season with an 8-0 loss to Linn (10-15) in the Class 2 District 8 quarterfinals on Friday, May 10. The game was hosted in Russellville. 

New Haven strung together five hits and three walks with 23 batting appearances.

Ryan Steinbeck had a team-high two walks.

Reid Lueckenhoff picked up a hit and a walk.

Andrew Noelke and Cole Nieman both made a hit.

Austin Bradley and Liam White both grabbed a walk.

Trevor Hinten pitched until the bottom of the 5th and hurled two strikeouts on the mound. He gave up seven hits, six earned runs and two walks. 

Andrew Noelke came in for relief and finished the game. He surrendered two hits and an earned run.

Steinbeck and Hinten also received second-team all-conference honors this past week.
