Track And Field Crosses The Finish Line At State

New Haven’s track and field team took their final bow on the state stage at the Class 1 State Tournament from May 17-18. The Shamrocks capped off their season with a boom at Adkins Stadium in Jefferson City.

The girls finished 30th out of 52 ranked teams with 8 points, while the boys did not place.

All-State Honors

Aubri Meyer clinched the podium in 4th place in the shot put with a throw of 11.40 meters.

The girls’ 4x200-meter relay team of Morgan Guehne, Brookelyn Vogelsang, Avery Strubberg and Isabella Groner took 8th in the final round at 1:53.09.

The Shamrocks also earned all-state honors in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:37.40. Guehne, Sydney Grubb, Strubberg and Groner reeled in the eight-place finish.

Katherine Holtmeyer medaled at 8th in the discus finals, hurling for a distance of 32.32 meters.
