New Haven Keeps Wentzville On The Ropes

Post 366 put up an intense fight against Wentzville Post 323 in their final regular season game on Tuesday, July 2. Despite New Haven falling 12-11, they never backed down while on the ropes throughout and kept it an intense three-hour slugfest at home.

Post 366 unleashed 11 runs, 10 hits, 7 RBIs and seven walks on 35 at-bats.

Anthony Groner grabbed two scores, including an inside-the-park home run, 2 RBIs and two hits.

Andrew Gildehaus drew up a team-high two walks with two runs and two hits.

Evan Scheer geared up for two runs, an RBI and a hit.

Carter Humphrey had two hits, a run and an RBI.

Brady Traub clutched 2 RBIs and two hits.

Weston Hecktor racked up a run, an RBI and a walk. 

James Orf tore through for a run, a hit and a walk.

Parker Thurman notched two walks and a run.

Creten Page made it home once, and Wyatt Meyer took one walk.

Gildehaus was the first to take the mound for Post 366. He hurled three strikeouts in his three innings while allowing four walks, an earned run and a hit.

Groner emerged from the bullpen at the top of the 4th. He struck out two batters and gave up five hits and two walks.

Traub was New Haven’s closing pitcher. He threw a strikeout while surrendering two earned runs and two hits.
