Arline Josephine Barnhart

Arline Josephine Barnhart (nee’ Holdmeier), 92, of Union, MO passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June, 15, 2023.

Arline was born February 8, 1931 to Bernard Holdmeier and wife, Matilda (nee’ Tobben), in Washington, MO. She attended St. Francis Borgia Grade School and graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School in 1949. Arline was united in marriage to Clifford Barnhart on May 01, 1954 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Union and their marriage was blessed with five children. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union.

Arline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford, in 1986; special friend, Melvin Mueller; three siblings, Jim Holdmeier, Sister Bernette Holdmeier, and Jane Holdmeier; two grandchildren, Christopher Fox and Jacob Barnhart; and one great-grandchild, Brielle Myer.

She is survived by five children: Daniel Barnhart and wife Cheryl of Washington, Jane Fox and husband Ben of Union, Joe Barnhart and wife Sue of Union, Andy Barnhart of New Haven, and David Barnhart of Union; twelve grandchildren: Timothy Barnhart, Amy Jo Kopp (Joe), Kenny Barnhart (Liz), Katie Myer (Brandon), Jeffrey Fox (Jenna), Patrick Fox (Krista), Bob Barnhart (Rhiannon), Jimmy Barnhart (Katie), Anthony Barnhart (Layne), Jenna Barnhart, Cody Barnhart (Kati), and Jessica Barnhart (Joe); 15 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union, MO. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation for 92-year-old Arline Barnhart will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO. A parish rosary will be held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception School or St. Francis Borgia High School.
