Charles Moody

Charles "Richard" Moody, 76, of New Haven, MO, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at his home.

Charles was born in St. Louis, MO, on April 25, 1940, a son of the late Jules and Anna (Miller) Moody.

He was the husband of Edna Marlene (Blue) Moody. They were united in marriage on November 18, 1961, in St. Louis, MO. Marlene survives at the home.

Charles is also survived by a daughter, Sandra Bockting and husband Mike, New Haven, MO; a son Rick Moody, of New Haven, MO; a son Ed Moody and wife Christa, of Owensville, MO; a daughter Tracy Scego and husband Dwayne, of Washington, MO; a son Scott Moody and wife LuAnn, of Hermann, MO; a sister Bertha Fraley, of St. Louis, Missouri; by two brothers, James Moody and wife Carol, of DeSoto, Missouri and Michael Moody, of Sullivan, MO, by three sisters-in-law, Joyce Dare, of New Haven, MO, Judi Gauer, of New Haven, MO and Vicki Ford and husband Russell, of Texas; and by 14 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and four brothers.

Charles was a welder. He worked for ACF Industries in St. Louis for 19 years, then for Progressive Fabricators and lastly for Gen Corp Automotive in New Haven for 10 years.

Visitation was held Monday, March 27 at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, MO, where funeral services were held Tuesday, March 28 with Pastor David Poe officiating.

Burial was at New Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Ed Moody Cancer Fund. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
