Charles O. Price, 93, of Hermann, MO, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Missouri Veterans Home, St. James, Missouri.

Charles was born in Rago, Illinois on February 14, 1926, the son of the late Joseph & Flora (Corzine) Price.

He was the husband of Stella L. (Kahle) Price. They were united in marriage on October 11, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Charles served in the United States Navy from May 18, 1944 to May 22, 1946, which was during WWII. His primary job in the military was a gunner. During his military career, he was awarded the Victory Medal, the American Area Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal with two stars and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon.

After serving in the military he worked as a welder for Shippers Railroad. He worked on the St. Louis Arch. He was also a mechanic and a retired farmer. He was a member of Swiss Evangelical Reformed Church, Swiss, Missouri.

Charles is survived by a son, Kerry Price & wife Carol, of Washington, Missouri; a son, Kenny Price, of Bourbon, Missouri; a daughter, Linda Weeden, of Thaxton, Mississippi; a daughter, Barbara Ross & husband Thad, of Pontotoc, Mississippi; daughter, Deborah Carron & husband Richard, of Portsmouth, Virginia; a daughter, Susan Price, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Randy Price & wife Pat, of Gilmore, Texas; a daughter, Frances O'Blennis, of Hermann, Missouri; and a son Jeff Price, of Jefferson City, Missouri, by 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Stella Price, and a son Bruce Price.

Visitation was held Friday, March 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri, with full military honors to follow.

Memorials may be given to  Swiss Evangelical Reformed Cemetery. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
