Clyde Harold Borcherding, 81, of New Haven, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at New Haven Care Center, Missouri.

Clyde was born in New Haven, Missouri on December 15, 1937, a son of the late Arthur & Viola (Monje) Borcherding.

He was the husband of Rita Ann (Branson) Borcherding. They were united in marriage on April 30, 1960, at Assumption Church, New Haven. Rita survives in New Haven.

Clyde is also survived by two daughters, Wuanita Gillig & husband Bob, of Hermann, Missouri; and Pam Schroeder & husband Kurt, of New Haven, Missouri; by a son, Jeff Borcherding, of New Haven, Missouri; by three sisters, Beulah Helling, of Mexico, Missouri; Arlene “Mutzie” Hiatte, of St. Charles, Missouri; and Ruth Bredemeyer, of Berger, Missouri; by four brothers, Oron “Sonny” Borcherding & wife Dolly, of New Haven, Missouri; James Borcherding & wife Barb, of Hermann, Missouri; Lloyd Borcherding & wife Dorothy, of New Haven, Missouri; and Howard Borcherding & wife Sandy, of New Haven, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Jean Borcherding, of St. Charles, Missouri; by six grandchildren, Dillon Borcherding & wife Emily, Kayla Borcherding, Taurie, Dakota, & Levi Schroeder, and Dalton Gillig, by many nieces & nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Gary & David Borcherding, a brother Elwood Borcherding, a sister Evelyn Borcherding, and three brothers-in-law, Virgil Helling, Roy Hiatte, and Don Bredemeyer.

Clyde was a carpenter for over 30 years and also a farmer. He was a member of Assumption Church, of New Haven, and the Carpenter Local 1839.

Clyde enjoyed farming, building and fixing things, hunting and fishing, but mostly spending time with family aggravating his grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday, May 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

A funeral mass was held Friday at 1 p.m. at Assumption Church, New Haven, with Father John Deken officiating.

Burial was at Assumption Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Assumption Church or New Haven Care Center. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
