Connie Dee "Ma" Kohlbusch, 73, of New Haven, MO, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her home.

 

Connie was born in Russell, Kansas on January 23, 1950, the daughter of the late Forrest & Wilma (Bliss) Roberts.

 

She was the wife of Glen Kohlbusch.  They were united in marriage on July 17, 1976, in Osborne, Kansas.

 

Connie was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, New Haven, where she taught Sunday school for many years.  She loved going to church and also her job where she enjoyed spending time with the kids.  She was known for her hand written birthday and anniversary letters.

 

Connie was an elementary school teacher.  She worked for Franklin County R-2 School for 25 years and St. George School in Hermann for over 10 years.  She then went to work at Little Bearcats Day Care in Hermann for over 10 years.

 

Connie will be remembered for her strength, love for her family, compassion for the children she worked with, her true grit, but most of all, her love for the Lord.  She was truly one incredible woman who gave so much, more than she ever wanted for herself.

 

Connie is survived by her husband, Glen Kohlbusch, of New Haven; a daughter, Robyn Kohlbusch, of Augusta, Georgia; a son, Bradley Kohlbusch & significant other, Sierra Kolan, of Rhineland, Missouri; a granddaughter, Kaylie Ragan, of Augusta, Georgia; a sister, Betty Farless, of Osborne, Kansas; and two brothers-in-law, Sandy Kohlbusch & wife Janet, of Berger, Missouri; and Tim Kohlbusch & significant other Susan Steinbeck, of Owensville, Missouri.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Norma Roberts, Ruth Stelljes and Patty Winder, and a brother-in-law, Dennis Kohlbusch.

 

Visitation will be held Friday, December 1st from 4:00 to 8:00  p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

 

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, New Haven.

 

Memorials may be given to Memorial Baptist Church.
