Donald Lee Hale, Sr., 85, of New Haven, MO, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home.

Donald was born in New Haven, Missouri on February 3, 1934, a son of the late George & Effie Mae (Tate) Hale.

He was united in marriage to Dixie Jenkins on June 27, 1992, in New Haven, Missouri.

Donald proudly served in the US Air Force. He worked as a mechanic for Boeing for many years. He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church in New Haven.

Donald is survived by his wife Dixie Hale, of the home, by his children, Donald Hale, Jr., Sharon Zyduck & husband Perry, Tammie Pohlmann & husband Marvin, J.R. Jones, Tracy Vance & husband Scott, and Melanie Edwards, by a sister-in-law, Lela Hale, by 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, and by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Dorothy & Virginia Hale, and a brother Bud Hale.

Donnie was all about family, he loved to spend his time with family and friends. He also loved to go fishing and hunting and loved teaching his grandkids about the outdoors and hunting.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 23 at 11 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven. Memorials may be given to the family or Memorial Baptist Church. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
