Elda Marie Rohlfing, 96, of Gerald passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2021 at her residence.

Elda Marie Rohlfing was born Oct. 19, 1924, to the late Louis and Edna (Pruessner) Panhorst in Gerald.

She was united in marriage to Earl F. Rohlfing on July 18, 1959 at Ebenezer Stone Church of Gerald.

Elda enjoyed quilting and embroidery and was very active in her church. She loved baking, gardening, sewing, and dancing. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Ebenezer Stone Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Rohlfing; son, Ronald Thomas; daughter-in-law, Darlene Thomas; three brothers, Harley, Leonard, and Richard Panhorst; and one sister, Lavern Raaf.

Her survivors include her son, Rodney and wife Idie of Gerald; her daughter, Dixie Kopp and husband Larry of Gerald; grandchildren, Jenny Southerland and husband Adam, Clayton Rohlfing and significant other Madalyn Wright, Jason Kopp and wife Tara, Nathan Kopp and wife Julie, Kara Adams and husband Paul, and Karl Thomas; and eight great-grandchildren, Aubree Southerland, Charlotte Kopp, Alan Kopp, Cecilia Kopp, Natalie Kopp, Lydia Kopp, Alexander Adams, and William Adams.

Visitation was Monday, August 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Gerald.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Stone Church outside of Gerald with Rev. Glenn Hollander officiating. Burial was at Ebenezer Stone Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Ebenezer Stone Church Women’s Guild.
