Helen C. Epple

Helen C. Epple, 94, of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home, Owensville, Missouri.

Helen was born in Little Berger, Missouri on August 28, 1925, a daughter of the late Aaron & Martha (Koeller) LaBoube.

Helen was the widow of Vernon L. Epple. They were united in marriage on July 1, 1944, at St. Joseph's Church, Little Berger, MO. Vernon preceded her in death on January 2, 2011.

Helen was a member of St. George Church, Hermann, and the ladies sodality. She was also a member of the Hermann V.F.W. Auxiliary. She worked at International Shoe Company.

Helen is survived by three daughters, Elaine LaBoube & husband Kenneth, of Beaufort, Missouri; Linda Parsons & husband Terry, of Stover, Missouri; and Geralyn Gloe & husband James, of Fulton, Missouri; by two brothers, Leon LaBoube, of Gerald, Missouri; and Calvin LaBoube & wife Virginia, of Fenton, Missouri; by a sister, Valoise Scholten & husband Vernon, of Owensville, Missouri, by a brother-in-law, George Epple & wife Barb, of Hermann, by seven grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a sister, Bernice Elsenraat, a brother Clifford LaBoube, and two sisters-in-law, Barbara LaBoube and Bernice LaBoube.

Visitation was held Friday, December 27 from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann. A funeral mass followed at 2 p.m. at St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri, with Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley officiating.

Burial was at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann. Memorials may be given to St. George Church or V.F.W. Auxiliary. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
