James L. Luecke

James J. Luecke, 69, of New Haven, MO, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, Missouri.

James was born in Washington, Missouri on November 9, 1952, the son of the late Gregory & Antoneta (Narup) Luecke. 

He was the husband of Dorothy (Jaco) Luecke. They were united in marriage on May 1, 1976, in the New Haven City Park.

James was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven and served as city alderman for New Haven for 11 years. He worked for the Washington Parks Department mowing grass.  Prior to that he worked for Metalcraft. 

James is survived by his wife, Dorothy Luecke, of New Haven, Missouri; a sister, Marlene Pecaut & husband David, of Warrenton, Missouri; a brother, Larry Luecke, of Krakow, Missouri; by many nieces & nephews and three honorary grandchildren, Keven McDowell, Kimberley McDowell and Krista Bennett. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Theresa Luecke.

A celebration of life was held Saturday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at New Haven City Park, New Haven, Missouri.
