James William Hoemann, 64, of Berger, MO, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur,  Missouri.

James was born in Washington, Missouri on April 20, 1957, the son of the late Roscoe William & Myrtle (Lefmann) Hoemann.

He was the husband of Kim (Backes) Hoemann.  They were united in marriage on May 26, 1979, at New Haven United Church of Christ.

James was a member of Assumption Church, New Haven and he was the president of the Berger Levy District.

James was a farmer. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

James is survived by his wife, Kim Hoemann, of Berger; a daughter, Jennifer Louise Baynes & husband Michael, of Berger; a son, Craig William Hoemann & wife Elizabeth, of Berger; by three sisters, Margie Jones, of Washington; Sharon Speckhals & husband Allen, of Hermann; and Terrie Coulter & husband Dennis, of Springfield, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Landon, Carter, Hadley, Brillee and Dexter.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael James Hoemann.

A memorial mass was held Thursday, March 10 at 5 p.m. at Assumption Church, New Haven, Missouri, with Father John Deken officiating. A reception and celebration of life followed at the Parish Hall.

Memorials may be given to St. George School or Hermann F.F.A. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
