Larry Vollertsen

Larry Vollertsen, 67, of Sikeston, MO, formerly of New Haven, passed away on September 15, 2019. He was born in St. Louis, MO, on November  9, 1951, the son of the late Erwin and Leona (Ruediger) Vollertsen.

Larry graduated from  Webster University and worked as an archivist at the St. Louis National Military Personal Records Center. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was an avid reader. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Special Olympics. He enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. He was a member of First Christian Church in Sikeston.

Larry is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter  Adrianne Gilbert of Louisiana, son John (Paula) Vollertsen of Minnesota, daughter Amanda Vollertsen of the home, brother Gary Vollertsen, sister-in-law Francis Vollertsen, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ralph, James, and Calvin and sisters Alvirda and Laverne.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, at St. Peter's UCC Cemetery in New Haven, MO.
