Leola Anna (nee Brune) Deppermann, age 89, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at New Haven Care Center.

Leola was born August 19,1932, just outside of New Haven, MO, a daughter of the late Robert & Rose (Riechers) Brune.

Leola was united in marriage on June 2, 1951 to Leo Deppermann at the Trinity Lutheran church in New Haven, MO. That same year she joined Ebenezer Ev. Lutheran Church, Port Hudson.

Leola started working at Langenberg Hat Factory when she was a young girl. After marrying Leo they moved to Lyon, MO and she went to work for the International Shoe Company in Washington until her daughter Kay was born. After Kay got older she went back to work as a cook at the Campbellton Grade School from 1966-1986. In 1986 her and Leo moved to New Haven and she went to work for New Haven Care Center as a dishwasher, she worked there until her retirement in 1993.

After her retirement Leola enjoyed many bus tours to wonderful places with her girlfriends. She loved quilting for her family and others and cooking and baking.

She was preceded in death by her, husband Leo Deppermann, parents Robert and Rosa Brune and her sister Bernice Brune.

She is survived by a daughter, Kay and her son-in-law Jimmy Kreftmeyer, of Minooka, IL; three grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan and Crystal Cryder, of Morris, IL; Christopher and Janelle Kreftmeyer, of Newark, IL; and Jerrod and Christina Grant, of Eddyville, KY; six great grandchildren, Keaton and Tessa Cryder, of Morris, IL; McKenna and McCalum Kreftmeyer, of Newark, IL; and Connor and Nora Grant, of Eddyville, KY; one sister, Ora May Zastrow of New Haven, MO, as well as 4 nephews and their families.

Visitation was held Friday, January 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson, with Rev. James Wilshusen officiating. Burial was at Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery.
