Lyle Lee Scheible

Lyle Lee Scheible, 70, of Berger, MO, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Scheible was born in Hermann, MO, on December 15, 1946, a son of the late Arthur and Edna (Seger) Scheible.

Lyle attended New Haven High School and graduated in 1964. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He was a farmer, and also worked at the Zero Manufacturing Plant and D & H Sales, both in Berger.

On December 24, 1966, Lyle married Evelyn Diebal at Swiss, MO. To this union two children were born, Tonia and Brian.

Lyle was a member of St. James Evangelical Church, Stony Hill, MO. He also served on the St. James Evangelical Church Board as secretary. He was a past member of Franklin County R-2 School Board, serving two terms. He currently was serving on the board of directors of the Drake-Beemont Mutual Insurance Co. as secretary.

Lyle enjoyed being outdoors, and working on the farm. He loved to hunt, fish, pick wild blackberries and find wild mushrooms. He also was an avid card player.

Lyle is survived by his wife Evelyn of the home, by his daughter Tonia and husband Loren Unger, Berger; by his son Brian Scheible and Brian's two children Emma Rose and Branden Lyle Scheible, New Haven; by his brother Larry Scheible and wife Fay, New Haven; by his mother-in- law Lorene Diebal, New Haven; by his sister-in-law Loretta Engelbrecht and six brothers-in-law, Stanley and wife Debbie Diebal, Hermann; Donny and wife Barb Diebal, Hermann; Kenny Diebal, Hermann; Bill and wife June Diebal, Hermann, Ralph Diebal, New Haven and Jerry Diebal, Salt Lake City, UT.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Lowell, his father-in-law William Diebal, a sister-in-law Chris Scheible, his brother-in-law Brent Engelbrecht and a nephew John Paul Engelbrecht.

Visitation was held Monday, Apr. 3 from 4-8 p.m. at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, MO. Funeral Services were Tuesday, April 4 at 11 a.m. at St. James Evangelical Church, Stony Hill, Missouri, with Rev. Tom Lloyd officiating.

Interment was at St. James Cemetery, Stony Hill, MO, with full military honors.
