Megan D. Fortner
Megan D. Fortner (Hobein), 31, of New Haven, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home.
On July 4, 1989 Megan was born to the union of Scott Hobein and Angie (Crowe) in Hermann.
Megan graduated from Union High School in 2007 and moved on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Brown-Mackie College.
On October 19, 2013 Megan was united in marriage to James Fortner at the White Mule Winery in Owensville.
Megan worked as an R.N. at Mercy Hospital in the I.C.U. for over ten years.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Haven.
Megan enjoyed traveling, camping and horseback riding. She also loved spending time with her husband James and daughter Alexandra. Megan cherished her breakfast dates. Most of all Megan loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, James Fortner of New Haven; her daughter, Alexandra Fortner of New Haven; father, Scott Hobein and wife Jan of Hermann; mother, Angie Welch and husband Kenny of New Haven; brother, Cody Welch of New Haven; sister, Jessica Bowen and husband Jason of Union two stepbrothers, Scott Wehner and wife Wendy of Ste. Genevieve and Ryan Wehner of Kentucky; three step-sisters, Brittany Rainey of Hermann, Courtney Howard and husband Brandon of Owensville and Sarah Wehner of Washington; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3825 Boeuf Lutheran Road New Haven, Missouri 63068 with funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, New Haven. Visit www.midawn.com for an online register book.
